There are many places to go dancing in the Lower Mainland. Here are some of our favorites.

Dance Rhythms Vancouver

Maggie Bretton, Vancouver’s Queen of West Coast Swing, hosts Dance Rhythms Vancouver. Includes snacks, a one hour lesson, a good floor and wonderful swing, latin and ballroom music to dance to.

When: First and Third Fridays each month (with some exceptions) – Please check the Dance Calendar for specific dates

What’s on offer:

• Lesson from 7:00pm to 8:00pm
• Open dance floor to 11:00pm
• Snacks

How much:

$15.00 per person – pay at the door (cash please)

Ballroom Nights

Greg Marchand hosts Ballroom Nights every other month. A selection of appetizers, a great musical selection, and a sprung floor!

When: One Saturday every other month – Please check the Dance Calendar for specific dates

What’s on offer:

• Dancing from 7:00pm to 11:30pm
• Hot and cold appies

$25.00 per person – pay at the door (cash please)

I Love to Dance

Ray Johnson’s monthly dances in Maple Ridge include an Intermediate/Advanced lesson, snacks, a large floor and a good mix of music.

When: One Saturday a month – Please check the Dance Calendar for specific dates

What’s on offer:

• Lesson from 7:00pm to 8:00pm
• Open dance floor to 11:30pm
• Bertha’s legendary food layout

How much:

• $20.00 per person – pay at the door (cash please)
• $30.00 per person for special dances

Dogwood Social Dance Club

Every Thursday, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, come out to join the Dogwood Social Dance Club dancing to a wide variety of music including latin, ballroom, swing and Argentine Tango. A great place to practice in a warm and friendly environment.

When:

• Every Thursday, with exceptions in the summer (August) and around Christmas

What’s on offer:

• Dancing from 6:30pm to 9:30pm

How much:

• $2.00 per person
• $1.00 per person for members of the Dogwood Pavilion Senior Society
• Pay at the door. Cash only. Exact change or small bills are appreciated.
